Zibby, you can't pull the wool over my eyes: I figured that you didn't like FLB's books! Otherwise you would have said something. You always burst out with the news that you positively loved a book or a movie or band, and because you never said anything, I kind of figured. I'm not surprised, though. I don't think her books are really you. I'm such a freaking sensualist that the rambling, sugary poetry just melts on my tongue and I can't get enough of it. But it would be cool if you did, like you said, check out her books in another year or so.

Wow! Are her stories really re-written fairy tales?! Like, which ones? Which stories are similar to which tales?

Oh, and which book did you check out?? Is it the book in which she does actually directly retell fairy tales? Try something like Dangerous Angels which is all the Weetzie bat books in one volume. I liked Girl Goddess #9 though it's pretty edgy and dark at times and you might not like it -- not because it's edgy and dark -- but just because of, I dunno, I can't say! Argh.
