For anyone to ask me about anything, just type in your question! |
(Oh, don't you love those words! My heart always speeds up when someone says them to me.) Hee hee. Does it speed up in a good way, or a bad way? Mine always skips a beat, worrying that the following question is going to be something truly weird or horrible...which is strange, because I adore questions, even the weird and horrible ones, and answer them all with glee (and a quite excessive adherance to the truth, too). Anyway. No offense taken. I love when you ask questions! My answer is: no. Honestly, I really don't worry that I'm putting myself at any risk whatsoever. I exercise regularly, eat totally healthfully to the best of my abilities and knowledge (meaning, I don't know whether to trust the carnivores or the vegetarians that their way is healthiest, but I try to figure it out and be discerning and I certainly avoid refined sugar, flour, fast food, junk food, and all the stuff that everybody agrees is poison), get 8-10 hours of sleep per night, lead as stress-free a life as I can, smile, and dance in the sunshine and moonshine. Sure, I'm living in America in 2004, which brings certain inevitable drawbacks (pollution, gas fumes, "sick building" syndrome, bad water, etc. etc. etc.), but I try my best. I don't know what my optimal weight would be. I don't worry about it. I've actually read about a study that looked at "obese" people and "normal" people and found that, on average, the fat people WERE NOT less healthy than the thin ones! Weird, eh? That's the long answer. What about you? Do you worry about cancer, diabetes, heart desease? I believe that your mental/emotional health is linked very strongly to your physical health. I'm in excellent emotional health, and I think that contributes to physical health. Overall, although I don't think I'm the healthiest person out there (I've had a cold for five months; something's funny there; but I'm fasting and stuff to try to make it go away), I don't worry about longterm problems.
