Nope, no specific day! Just any three days in a row. You might be surprised to read what you eat, actually; I know I was! It's a great eye opener. I never realized that at about 4:00 PM is the time when I like to snack the most, or that I tend to like grains and oats best at night. Whoa! Really, am I pampered? How much is organic produce in Indiana? Here are some examples of organic stuff that I buy at the Eureka co-ops: Avacado: 40 cents each Apple: 70 cents each Pear: hmm...I think $1.25/lb Milk: $3.75 Tomatoe: $1.50/lb Bunch of spinach: $1.80 Bag of flour: $3.85 Dates: $6/lb (now tha's expensive!) Strawberries (one little carton): $2 I can't recall how much meat is. When I've gotten chicken, the Rosy Red Organic is pretty expensive, like $5 for 2 lbs. Sigh, I wish my family would go all-organic! I was pesturing Mum last night about how eating un-organic food is basically eating nothing since it has so little nutrients due to the toxins lathered all over it. Mum just said, "Oh, I don't know about that". UGH! People! It's not only that toxins from pesticides reside in the body for decades and decades and turn into disgusting plaque in the intestines (bodies can't break pesticides down, so they have nowhere to go), but all that junk is poisoning the earth we live on, contaminating the earth worms, microorganisms, birds, and grass which are essential for balance and structure in the ecosystem. Oh, J/A/S/O/N is 70% organic I believe. Mum uses their vitamin E cream and I use their shampoo, and on the containers it says 70% organic. |
