My A-Muse-ing Place
by A Non-Existent User
Hiyas Joe and My WC Family!

I guess I will have to go along with Joe and many others who state that it's at work when we get hit by our unpredictable Muse. Now, while most of you can camouflage your Muse strike, I'm not privy to that option. You see, I am a Surgical Technologist and most of my working hours are spent in a surgical suite. I won't go into depth what I am doing, I'm sure a lot of you couldn't handle that. Mind you, I don't let my Muse get the best of me when I am deep into a surgical procedure, the patient has Carte Blanche over my Muse.

There are times that I am scrubbed in, ready and waiting for the patient to be brought in, when a be-Muse-ing idea(s) enter my head. Armed with a skin marking pen and what ever item that isn't needed for my case, I write down my thoughts/words/ideas/et cetera down until it is necessary to get back to the task at hand.

After I am done with the procedure, I transcribe them into a notebook I keep at work for just this purpose. That reminds me! I need a new notebook! And, no, I don't get paid overtime when my Muse strikes!

Happy Holidays!

Val
