I don't think it would work to send Catsy a DVD or videos, unless she has an adapter for her video player. European DVDs cannot play in American DVD players. Don't ask me why they did it that way, but it's true! Rasmus brought us a DVD from Denmark and it won't play in our machine. It says "international coding error," or something of the sort, and just sits there flashing that on the screen. It confirms what I had heard -- that you can't play European DVDs on American players. Sigh.
And I'm almost positive the same goes for videos. We use VHS here in America -- I think Europeans use something different, more advanced, that our players won't take. Frustrating, isn't it? Andrew, my pal from England, was going to take some shows for me, until we realized I wouldn't be able to watch them! Blarg.
