Menopause

I have to laugh when I'm with older women. I'm talking about women in their 70's.

I was sitting last week with my mother and my aunt who are both in their 70's. After some chit-chat...Aunt Ruth ask how I've been. I said, "Fine. I'm going through Menopause." OMG. You would have thought I said I murdered someone. LOL. My aunts face...went blank. Mom by this time is use to be just blurting it out.

What is it? This is a natural time in a woman's life. I just sat there and stared at her. I was making her reply to what I had just said. LOL. Then she started talking about her daughter asking questions about menopause and how she herself went through it.

It just hits me funny how the older women react to the word menopause. Well, this generation....we're different. I am anyway.

My mother still insists she never went through it. But I can remember when she was in her 30's and 40's being a little "unstable". She doesn't remember it? That's fine. I just know my daughter will know everything step I've taken and will take.

It's a natural stage in a woman's life. I'm very proud to be at this point.

And.......so looking forward to the day I can stop buying pads!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
