Look, I'm a pantser 100%, but I have helped people plot.

There are many different methods:
"20240620 Plotting Techniques Part 1Open in new Window.
"20240621 Plotting Techniques Part 2Open in new Window.
(as examples)

but the main thing is what you use, whether it is a formal method or something else, is that it works for you and your story. Want to combine hero's Journey and Freytag? Go for it!

Want to use a plantser method (e.g. "20241006 Chasing The CatOpen in new Window.,"20241007 Outside In PlantsingOpen in new Window.)? Go for it!

Just want to write down what happens in some vague order? Go for it!

Do not feel you have to be tied down to any one method or any one style.

You need to be comfortable.

Just plot. Don't stress.
