This week will very likely be another chaotic one. We have an audit at work, and I start the week of being sick and more sleepdeprived than usual. Logically, I should set the bar low, but then again, the last couple of weeks have shown that success with my writing goals doesn't necessarily correlate with how much time and energy I have left at the end of the day.
So, the plan for the week is just to make a long list of goal, some important some less so, and then just see how it goes. I definitely do not expect to hit every goal, but I also don't want to make things too easy for myself.
Here goes.
Write/edit/outline every day: Same old first priority as always.
Do vocal exercises: Same as the last couple of weeks. I need to keep the habit going. Though, since I start off with a sore throat, my ambitions for this goal are pretty low.
Do a review: I'm reviewing a story over at WYRM I really enjoy reading, and there's only one scene/chapter left. I really want to deliver a review for that.
Get exercise: Ideally, I'll go for a run or do weight lifting at least twice. Though, if I can manage one while doing some moderate activity the other days of the week, I'll call it a success as well.
Do a blog post: I have three blog post I want to get written (about my recent publication news, the death of the editor of the only regular Danish SF publication, and about all the stuff that wouldn't have happened to me if I had not chosen writing as a hobby).
Finish editing my last completed short story/novelette: I've been pushing this, because there's a hurdle in the story I can't seem to fix. But maybe it's just time to polish it off and send it out.
Submit stories: Because of that one rejection last week, I have one story that needs to go back out on submission. And if I complete the above goal, I'll have another.
