Motivate yourself to conquer your goals this week! Post on Monday; update us on Friday! |
I had another good writing week. I keep expecting everything to blow up at work, but so far, it has been more of a sizzle growing in strength. Colleagues will start to get back from vacation next week, though, so from now on, I think I can be a bit more ambitious with my goals. Right, onto what happened this week: Core Goals Write/edit/outline every day: Yep, manage to get a fair deal of writing done on my current WiP every day, especially the last couple of days where I could reuse stuff from an earlier draft. Do vocal exercises: Again, I managed to keep my streak going and doing far more than the minimum requirement. Get exercise: Did some weightlifting at the start of the week and an 8K run yesterday. Also remembered to not to stay too stationary at work. Do a WYRM review: Got in two reviews which was a nice surprise, honestly. Since I had so much extra energy, I probably should have focused on some of my extra goal. For various reasons, I never really got around to that, though. Extra Goals Submit my backlog of stories: I have a handful of stories that needs to go out again, meaning I have to do a fair deal of market research. So, for this, I need a prolonged period of dedicated time, which I just did not have, at least not if I wanted to get that exercise as well. Do a Codex and/or blog update: I might have been able to get this done, but again, finding more than half an hour in one session was difficult. Also, what I wanted to post/blog about was my reason acceptance to a Danish SF anthology, but that got sort of sidelined because of some bad news regarding the editor and later another acceptance for Stupefying Stories. So, maybe, it’s not too bad I missed this one, because it will be a very different post/update I could do next week instead. Be active on Codex: I was not super active, did not reply to anything, but I did catch up on posts and private messages, so I will count this as a win. |
