Hi, Jaye! Please accept my belated welcome to WdC.

I'm so sorry to hear about your losses. It can take a long time to heal, but writing is a wonderful outlet to help process what we're going through.

I hope you're continuing to find it helpful and enjoying the community. Try to remember to be gentle with yourself as you're learning "the rules" of poetry (or any other writing). Consistent progress is far less daunting than achieving perfection. You'll get there, and I hope you're well on you're way!
