Welcome and I'm glad you're here! Your writing has a lot of potential. I glanced over your Stockholm story, and I can see it's excellent writing, though judging by the ending it's not exactly my type. If you could channel that sort of style into briefer tales, you'd be perfect for entering contests around here. As a note, Gaby is busy with a huge project coming up in April now, but when she runs contests she allows one of the longest word counts around, at 5000, and her themes may be something you'd like.
But whatever. Entering contests is a good way to gain recognition and get ribbons tacked on your work, but it's not a huge priority, depending on what kind of writer you are.
