A place where fun and good deeds get rewarded! |
Although Jessie was my Dad's little black furball, she wormed her way into my heart as well. She was full of spunk, and to be honest, I think she was a little bit prejudiced. She had no quarrels with puppies, but she did not like fawn (tan) pugs. She only got along with black pugs like herself. She was a German pug, with short legs and a stout chest and squarish head. She loved treats and going for walks along the property. She was a bit hard headed, when she was younger, but she mellowed out over the years. She was Dad's shadow, but would go for walks with me whenever she got the chance. Her birthday was the day before mine, and she was born the day before I turned 40. Jessie enjoyed car rides and rides on the ranger when dad would drive it around the property. She did not like the vet's office and would always leave a "poo" at the office to show her displeasure. She passed away a couple of months before her 16th birthday, and it hit all of us hard. She will not be forgotten. I've written a poem or two dedicated to this sweet pup. Here is one of them with a picture of her:
