I'd been thinking I might need to write the draft in first person and consider changing it to third if the story needs more ... something. – I began writing this response before two others responded. Thanks also to Ms. TerrifyingTuber and stevengepp. I guess I'll go with what works for me (1st) and change it up later if it doesn't seem to work. Cheers, y'all.
