Maybe what you really need is someone to bounce ideas off of! :) Think of it more like feedback from a writing partner than an actual critique. The former is more casual and friendly than the latter, and you can feel more comfortable turning down ideas you don't like or disagree with. A critique is more associated with YOU MESSED THIS PART UP... XYZ NEEDS FIXED. Or at least that's my opinion! Best of luck!
