Thanks for the advice everyone! I'm thirty and have some serious health issues (thanks, genetics!), but that doesn't give me experience with being more than double my age. My protagonist is a single woman in her 70s in Canada. Premise is... think if Miss Marple were put in a slasher? It's my first time writing horror in long form. It's my first time with a protagonist so much older than myself. A few firsts. A lot of the traits of the protagonist (and the other seniors around her) are things that remind me of my grandmothers (I was extremely blessed to get quality time with both grandmothers and all four great-grandmothers) or of the older ladies that attend my synagogue.
I really wanted that extra perspective though, especially since all of my grandmas are gone and I can't just call them up to ask their thoughts. Thanks so much for the feedback, this thread gave me a lot more than I hoped for!
