Reddit. I won't say the specific subreddit (other than it was purged about one or two years ago), but it had a post promoting the interactive, by one user called (IIRC) "notwillprescott". Since the story's main idea of transformation overlapped with the purpose of the subreddit, it fit the place. The pitch specifically recommended "any story with Chelsea".

Strangely enough, the story's idea of transformation didn't match, but instead overlapped, with some of my interests, but I stayed nonetheless because of the way the stories were written. It's very rare for me to feel interested, let alone involved, in a written story but it grew up on me. (And eventually, I found something within the story that directly matched the same interests I was looking for in the subreddit, though I wouldn't use that.)

So, in short: checked for the pitch, stayed for the story.
