I honestly don't really see Stephanie as somebody who would play ball here. She's definitely jealous of Hannah and wants her hurt, but I don't see her agreeing to replace her. She didn't seem comfortable at all with the concept of the masks in the route where she was introduced to them, and I don't really see it as likely she would be willing to use them in that way. I also think she's much too dominant of a personality to either manipulate or assign to somebody else. She doesn't strike me as the type of person who would manipulate somebody she has a crush on because a magic puppet master told her to. I think it would take either extremely heavy handed blackmail or similarly extreme methods to get her to comply, significantly more trouble than its worth when you could use somebody else. And she definitely doesn't seem the type to willingly make a power play on the soccer team considering she's friendly with Anita. She's much more likely to abandon Hannah's attempts to take control instead of see them through to the end, so I don't really see any value in trying to cultivate the real Stephanie as a pawn. I also don't think that manipulating Marc indirectly would accomplish as much as doing it yourself, because he's a fairly passive guy unless provoked, so I don't really see how Hannah or somebody masquerading as her would really be able to manipulate him enough that he’d be used to his full potential for our objective. A minion could theoretically take that job though, in which case I would swap him out for either Anthony Kirk, Kelsey, or Laurent Delacroix. I think Chen is an excellent target for replacement as long as you are willing to manage him yourself, but giving him to somebody else seems insanely risky to me. Somebody like Caleb would be fine, but the problem is that Chen’s mind band turns literally anybody you can’t trust absolutely into somebody who is probably gonna end up screwing you over and plot against you. If I’m Will, literally the only person in that school I would even consider giving control of Chen to is Caleb. I could legitimatly see somebody in Chen's mask taking extreme methods to find out how Will is pulling off the bodyswaps and how to control it themselves. If control of the seedy part of the underground isn’t something I’d wanna do directly, I’d give somebody control of Roth. Thinking about minions in general, I don’t want to recruit alpha type personalities as minions, nor do I want to put somebody I don’t trust into an alpha personality. I prefer to slot lower tier and discontent students into lives that are desirable, but not alpha personalities. The Andrea Varnsworth and the Laurent Delacroix types, not the Kelsey Blankenships or the Steve Pattersons. Fun impersonations that have influence but who aren’t cutthroat about it Catherine would probably work out really well under the control of a the right person, because she’s an incredibly attractive impersonation, but she’s not a cutthroat type with a personality you’d have to worry about as far as I can tell with what we know. Jack Li is interesting as a possible minion because I think he actually might be susceptible to the temptations of the masks, and he's not particularly alpha, so I wouldn't worry about him going rogue, but we haven't seen enough to be certain who he might want to be. I'll talk about Jelena and Charles in my rugal response post. Meanwhile Chelsea is enough of an alpha and enough of a schemer that I wouldn't give her to anybody else anyway, but at the moment her masks has full memory of how the masks work, she knows how to take them off, and she knows about the book. That makes her officially too dangerous to give control of to anybody else, especially to another scheming alpha type like Cindy. The school staff have a lot of direct power over the school for sure, but I honestly think the soft power way of doing things is better versus the hammer the administration wields. |
