Regarding branches, "The Man in the Wheelchair" is probably one of the earliest, but it never got any further. It's interesting because it has a disabled person given the chance to walk again, thus showing one of the potential "good" uses of the mask, and Andrew seems to have everything Will would like (a place to do the experiments, a way to cover the costs, and someone to help cover for him if necessary), but he's not developed enough to feel established. Another interesting branch that could use a bit of a revision is "The Test Department" . There's some pretty interesting options, and the branch that has Marion ends on such a beautiful cliffhanger (that suggests a path to Fane), but since I got in, it hasn't gotten any development. Regarding characters, other than Andrew, I'll go for the elephant in the room - Lisa Yarborough. In many ways like Lucy, she's basically a character whose arc has essentially ended, and therefore it hasn't received development that could explain why she hitched with Will and why she left him other than "it was a summer love thing". In essence, she's the first mystery to unravel, but she never gets the chance as Will gets distracted by other things. |
