I believe it copies the whole thing. In The Wandering Stars, during the chapter "Smashing Vulcan" , when Will creates a clone of himself after his own imago is overwritten by Julian Dey’s, copying his imago copied the mentalia of his Anima as well, so the clone has his own personality instead of just Dey’s. I suppose it’s possible that the Hyde-White possessed Dey had that cloning device specially designed to do that, but quite frankly, I don’t really see why he would. He didn’t want his clone to know the real Dey was possessed, so it seems most likely to me that copying mental imago also copies the underlying anima personality as well.
