I have tried to write a novel before. Never once succeeded. Best I managed was a completed story of just over 10k words. I also managed 23k and 24k words for two other attempted novels, that I've never completed.
All this negativity has a point. : This preparation has proven immensely useful. In just six days, I feel far better prepared than ever before to write. Today is especially important. I have pretty much always known where each story was heading, I got bogged down in the middle. With no structure or preplanning, my writing got heavy going, and ... I gave up.
Today I worked through what was needed to get from A to B. I've set it down. No doubt I still have loads to do, but that's great, I am fired up for this, thanks to this superb planning challenge. So, (and this won't be the last time I'm sure), a MASSIVE thank you for everyone involved in setting up and running this challenge.
