Noticing Newbies

Hi I am not a techie and all the many instructions and symbols are too much. Let me introduce myself. I am a widow aged 75, a psychology graduate (still love the subject) and my interests are - poetry and psychology. I have had some of my poems broadcast on the British BBC network, so they can't be that bad. I am thinking of self publishing and donating half the income to a local hospital that saved my life. Sound a bit heavy? Not really. I am a bit of a butterfly with interests. I thought I'd have a go at short stories and am particularly interested in science fiction and children's literature. I live in a little house near where Shakespeare lived with a little garden and a little family circle.
