QotW #15: Altruism with a Mask
by Seuzz Author IconMail Icon
You can make masks and golems, but you are happy with yourself and your friends and have no desire to steal anyone else's life or to make anyone your slave. However, you decide to give another BoM-character ONE golem that they can control and impersonate whenever they like. Who do you give the golem to, and who do you pick to be their golem/alternate ID?

Gordon Black has such an unhappy life that I think I'd give him an alternate ID, and would give him as nearly the opposite life as possible: a quiet, happy home life; no academic or athletic pressure; a handful of close friends. A girlfriend would be a plus, but I think I'd leave that choice up to him instead of giving him an ID that already has a girl.

So I think I'd give him Philip Fairfax. He might not like it at first, but I think he'd come to appreciate it as a vacation spot. Fairfax seemingly has only a small number of good friends, and they have fun.

And as Fairfax isn't a big, athletic type, Gordon would learn what it's like to be a normal guy in a school full of Pattersons and Javitses and other assholes.
