Thank you very much for your generous donation! I've already filled out your sponsorship for 100k. 🌖 HuntersMoon, please fill out her sponsorship for 25k. Thank you! I'll send your MB after this. Good luck to everyone! Are you involved in feeding the animals oats? Awesome! The animals are already starting to gather. The American Mammoth Jackstock looks pretty excited. lol They used to be a huge supplier of mules, but now are critically endangered, the most extreme category on The Livestock Conservancy's list. This is likely the only one you'll ever see, so take all the pictures you want. See this sheep? It's a Leicester Longwool Sheep and they are historically significant because they were used for creating many new breeds of sheep. They are used for both their wool and their meat, so they are pretty handy sheep to have around. This Tunis Sheep is pretty special. During the Civil War, they were nearly wiped out. In fact, there was only one herd left and it was hidden in South Carolina near Columbia, and saved thanks to a man named Maynard Spigener. Speaking of breeds nearly wiped out, the Red Wattle Hog was almost lost as well. In 1999, there was only 42 left. Thanks to the work of The Livestock Conservancy, they've grown in numbers and these gentle animals have a more hopeful future.
