Motivate yourself to conquer your goals this week! Post on Monday; update us on Friday! |
Elycia, Actually, I started using a single thread way back with this post: "writing goals and updates..." back on April 21, 2014 That thread ran from then through January this year. It is a mess if you look at it in the Un-Threaded View. At first, I did not change the title except for deleting the extra re each time. Then in December 2014, we were told we needed to put either GOALS or UPDATES in the subject line. Here is my first couple posts doing that: "Re: ruwth's writing goals and updates... (UPDATES - 12/5/14)" "Re: ruwth's writing goals and updates... (GOALS:1/26/15)" Then, I discovered that "Weekly Goals" is open to the public. I stopped posting my goals here for a while. I also edited some of my earlier posts. My last post back then was: "Re: ruwth's writing goals and updates...(UPDATES-5/22/2015)" This year, I decided to start posting again and added: "Re: 2018 - Week 1 - WDC GOALS" I borrowed the Week 1 idea from "I Write in 2018" and I like it... BUT... although that thread works okay in the Threaded View, it is a disaster in the Unthreaded View. So I decided to start over and do it a little differently. I wrote: "2018 - Week 2 - WDC GOALS" . Each week, I reply to this post and then edit the post changing the subject line to reflect the current week. When I update at the end of the week, I reply to the post featuring the current week's goals. I edit the subject line getting rid of the extra re and adding UPDATE to meet the requirement of designating GOALS and UPDATES. Now, it looks fine in both the Threaded View and the Unthreaded View. However, it is getting quite long and I am thinking about starting a new thread in July. I am also going to edit the subject line of this message since it is neither GOALS nor UPDATES... and that is the method to my madness.... ----- ruwth By the way, if you refresh the page, you will see the color of the tacks change... They are randomly rotating as are some of the trinkets... Oh, and about the first thing on my current list, I decided to give myself a goal I knew I would be likely to accomplish each week! ~ ~ ~ JESUS is LORD! ~ ~ ~ |
