Hmm... if Saturday has been scheduled in for a while now, and you have already missed a couple of sessions, my advice would be to really try to be there. Even if it's suddenly become inconvenient.

I'd try to get as much done as possible the next couple of days, and on Sunday. Do the most urgent stuff first and work your way down from there.

The risk is that if you don't go on Saturday, you might be seen as not being a team player. That can impact on references and the relationships you have formed with other members of the group, as well as with your team leader. You can end up somewhat on the outside, and that's not that nice a place to be.

You'd not be bowing out because of illness or an emergency, after all, but because of a trip you're taking - they'll probably be expecting you to be able to organise any trips around your studies and other activities, including Jumpstart.
