I exceeded my first year doing it and almost walked away from the entire prep. I understand your frustration. I think we've all been in that place. It sucks. I'm sorry you're going through this.
But, I also have to defend Brandiwynš¶ and say that the rules are pretty clear. We all make mistakes and life gets the best of us sometimes. But she really does her best to make sure that it is understood that something needs to be logged every 72 hours. Also, (I knnow it doesn't help right now, but perhaps for future preps) the basis for 'completing the assignment' is working for 15 minutes on it. I know in 15 minutes I do less than squat with getting most of these assignments started, but I also know that if I'm in danger of timing out (and I've come very close pretty much every year I've done this prep), I'll count that. I'll continue to work on the assignment because, let's face it, the goal is to outline a novel, not win the awesome carrot that is being dangled, right?
I know it feels like everything sucks right now. Don't give up. Keep going. Keep prepping. It's worth it.
