I have a double bend hard board (covered in fabric) that my laptop sits on when its on my lap. And a fan that it also sits on... of course the fan is currently broken--the USB cable shreded.
I rarely (unless i'm in a major hurry) set my laptop on my lap.
I do rest my wrists right on on the edge of my area where my mousepad is, but it sounds like mine is bigger. I know with my work laptop--which is smaller--I can't do that.
Sounds like everyone has some great advice!
