1. Describe the key elements of a short story
setting: where does the story take place (include time, place, mood and atmosphere)?

plot: what happens in a short story? what are the five series of events which take place: exposition, rising action, climax, falling action and resolution?

conflict: describe the different types of conflict in the story. which were internal (self versus self) and which were external (self versus person, society or nature)?

characters: who are the characters in the story? what are the personality traits of each character?

point of view: what narrative perspective is the story told from?

2. GIVE TWO EXAMPLES OF FORESHADOWING USED IN YOUR STORY

Note: remember that foreshadowing is when an author gives clues or hints as to what will happen later in the story.
