While there would definitely be benefits, there would be issues as well. In order for CR to work correctly, each member needs to be able to send just one, so they can't come "from" groups because any number of groups can be created by any number of people... in which case the limitations themselves have so many holes they wouldn't be worthwhile.

Also, I think it adds to confusion surrounding "qualified" recognitions if they were to come "from" groups but the back end crediting based on timing would work off the member, rather than the group. I think the qualification periods really help to keep things reasonable... so we don't log in one day to find someone with 250 extra CR because one person went on a spending spree the night before.
