Maybe you can use different font and letter size for now Jazzy. Here in WdC you have 6 types of font. To me the most beautiful one for long writing is {font:times}- the one I have now in this reply. And yes, this is writing.com tag for the font- you just type {font:times} at the beginning of your text and you close it with {/font} at the end of your text. You can go back and edit the chapter you copy/paste in your port and make it more visually beautiful. I know from my own experience that people here care about visual as much as writing itself. Also, in your settings you have options to make single space paragraph and double space paragraph. You can find these settings when you go back to editing your item in port, when you scroll down the page click to advanced. I am going to show you now how one story looks like with double space paragraphs, and {font:times}. Click link below: "Pursuit of my teenage dream"  I also used font size {size:4}. I always use this font size in my writing here, letters are not too big and they also are not too small, it's easy to read it. This tag works the same- type {size:4} at the beginning of your text and {/size} at the end of your text. WdC seems complicated to newbies, I was also confused how it all works but once you figure it out it's really simple  . Here we use WritingML language while creating different static items. WritingML language you can find in the left side of your portfolio. You will see Writing.Com Tools. Click to it and then click to WritingML Docs & Help. It will help you to understand what you can do with your text in a static item to make it more visually beautiful. Hope this helps. ~Minja~ |
