What a weird day. I think I post things and they aren't posted. WOW.
So in the post I thought I posted I agreed with you. Said Christmas trees are a great example of the assimilation process of Christianity. Although we all love them, they don't grow in Israel...my son lived there for five years because we are Jewish...no x-mas tree in mangers.
To me there is something beautiful and terrifying in all religions. That is what makes them stand out. I wish we knew more about those that were destroyed....Those in South America before the Spaniard took over, those in Babylonia before fires destroyed the libraries that held their texts. Celtic, Saxon, the predecessor to the Viking religions.
My ideal job would be to roam the world listening to folk tales and piecing together world myths. They always amaze and inspire me.
