I have heard of the J.R. Wards Brother Hood Series Novels books but never read or listened to them. I am going to have to. I have noticed that it is a common thread in books where there is a series to start an unanswered thread to hint at what is to come in the next books. Seanan McGuire does it a lot in her October Daye series.

OMG...Don't Save the Girl gets me crying every time. As a mother of five...wait...as a person who had a baby by C-section the same week my cousin died of complications to her C-section...as a person who realizes how fragile life is and how just one wrong move, thing, choice...

So this last weekend I attended a memorial service for my cousin. She was living and working in California. She was working out at 6AM in the gym and someone drove through the gym (on accident) more than 70 feet and killed her. It was a complete fluke...something you hear about...something a writer writes about but never really happens....like in Roald Dahl's book James and the Giant Peach when his parents are killed by rampaging rhinos. It was just...pointless.

I am glad that J. R. Ward is going to close her loose ends...maybe they'll all be fixed by the time I get to reading them. LOL.

But back on topic...I agree with you. If there is a lose end, it has to have a reason.
