You can also change the outline to fit the story. If the scene takes place on the day when they meet instead of at the ball, you can easily go to your outline and shuffle things around there. That's the beauty of outlining. It's much easier to shuffle things like "Alyiah is told that Scott and Chad are the same person" than to shuffle around whole chapters full of text. It's also easier to see at a glance how much of your story will be affected by the change. *Thumbsup*
