My story is going well, but I feel like I still have a ton left to do before I'll be ready to write.
Both the protagonist and antagonist profile/voice/backstory combos have been helpful so far, to the point where I'm very much looking forward to doing the next set tomorrow and Thursday. Looking at my antagonist in depth has also made me like her even less than I already did. I like to do interviews to get the answers for my character profiles and more than once she flat out refused to answer me. Plus, she's just plain scary...
Least helpful have been the literary devices because I feel like I have to stuff things into the story when I don't know if they belong there yet. Especially today's assignment - I'm feeling pressured to choose a different chronology if only for the fact that it isn't going to take anywhere close to 15 minutes to say "I choose #1 and my outline's already arranged that way," and I don't know what I'm expected to do with the rest of the time in that case.
