How it works

Before now, you were not required to submit a blog entry, nor were your blog entries being judged. Now that has changed.

Beginning with today's prompt, you will be competing head to head in a 'blog-off' to earn points for your team, and to avoid elimination from the competition.

Write and post your blog entries as you normally would. Only the portion of your blog relating to this challenge is being considered for judgement.

Your blog entry will be compared to your opponents blog entry and judged with the follow criteria taken into consideration:

Following the Prompt
Engaging/Interesting/Entertaining/Original/Thoughtful
Emotion
Personal
Grammar/Mechanics
Style/Presentation
Subjective Judging/Personal Opinion

The blog entry chosen as the better entry (as determined by the judge) will be awarded - 'One Star'

The stars will be added to the individual challenger's RATING (Located on the 30DBC main page, in the 'drop-down tag' below the challenger's name.)

A blog entry that has no counterpart for comparison will be awarded 'One Star' in default.

Team leaders should encourage their team members to enter a blog entry each day. Even an entry of a 'one sentence response' will earn a star in the event their opponent fails to submit an entry.

There will also be MB's offered daily, during this challenge. Winners of MB's will also be awarded 'One Star'

To keep the teams evenly matched for this, eliminations will be conducted at the conclusion of the challenge, based on the totals of Stars earned per individual as well as team star totals will be taken into consideration. There will be multiple eliminations at the conclusion of this challenge, likely, from both teams.

In the event that two competitors both fail to enter blog entries, and a double elimination is possible, that will be done prior to the conclusion of this challenge.

Brother Nature Will be awarding MB's and eliminating players based on: team scoring, participation, and judges recommendations.


February 24 -26 will be used to ready the remaining players for a: Two Day, Knock down, Drag out, Every blogger for themselves, final blogging apocalypses, which will be held in Andre the Blog Monkey's Newly Renovated Blogging Banana Bar on the 27 & 28 of February to allow Fivesixer to set up the 30DBC forum for the 'Official Blogging Challenge beginning March 1, 2015. Sign up for the March 30 Day Blogging Challenge can be done in the 30DBC forum on the 27 & 28.
