A month-long novel-planning challenge with prizes galore. |
I have to be careful answering this question due to the length this post can become. Yes, I use religion in my stories and most of you would say I use mythology as well. To me all religions are just myths and all myths are religion, so yes I use religion in my stories. If I didn't 99 percent of my characters couldn't exist. Can you really have a sleeping fae queen, an elven princess, shape shifters, vampires, and werewolves without what you refer to as mythology? I go so far as to use the term demon as it was originally used by the Babylonians. A demon is a spiritual creature that takes actual physical items from the physical world into the spiritual one for the Gods and vice-versa. As above so below kind of thing. But as we know from history, if you include things like vampires and werekind, you also have to include the church and its hunters. I have found in writing this book over the last two nano's that I apparently have a lot to say about the world at large and it comes out in metaphors most people will never understand. But, that's just me. Better to educate while entertaining and let literature teachers a hundred years from now try to figure out what I meant, than try to educate by pounding things into peoples heads when to them it doesn't fit. ** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only ** "WdC SuperPower Reviewers Group" "Invalid Item" "Invalid Item" Check out my Rising Stars Bookiemonster Outasync Grace♥Leo health issues & bumfuzzled ** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only ** |
