I hope all of you are working hard on your masterpieces! I have completed my brainstorming assignment, but through all of that, a question has come up...and now it's bugging me. So...I'd like to get some input from all you fantastic authors.
First of all, my protagonist is a woman who is offered a chance to take revenge on her drunken husband. My impact character is someone who offers just that chance. In particular he offers her "a ticket to her past"...so yeah, I'm writing about time travel here. And I want the story to feel dark and mysterious.
At first I thought my impact character would communicate only through actions...no words...but now I'm not so sure. The question I wrote down for myself is this: Does the impact character ever speak?
So that's my question to you. Which do feel is more mysterious? A character who speaks or one who doesn't?
