My mom bought apples last weekend and since I can't eat them until I get my crown, I made apple sauce just for me. Jessica's Apple Sauce for One Person 1 apple, sliced and cut in half 1/2 cup of Riesling (or equivalent in white wine) 1 cup of water Cinnamon Honey Cut the unpeeled apple and slice in half. Pour a 1/2 cup of white wine into a pot, then place the apples into the wine. Squirt some honey and sprinkle on some cinnamon. Let the apples sit in the mixture for a half an hour. After that half an hour is done, warm the apples by placing it on low. Do this for 10 minutes, then add the cup of water. Place the stove to medium-high/high. Stir the concoction and let the water come to a rolling boil. Once it came to a rolling boil, I let the apples cook for 5-10 minutes. Like making mashed potatoes, take a fork and poke the apples. If the fork goes through the apples, they're cooked. Dump the water into a strainer and put the softened apples into a bowl. Take a masher and mash the apples until it's a lumpy apple sauce. Add more honey and cinnamon. If you'd like to make it for more than one person, just double, triple, etc the recipe. ** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only **
