... but I think, my initial reaction at least, is that it would end up taking away from more badges and awards than it would add to them. For example, rather than just getting a badge or award, it then falls over to who likes it and how many likes it gets. I think that's cool in a lot of areas, but badges and awards really isn't one of those places. Folks getting no likes on their badges or awards are then left with "less" -- taking away from the act of the giving of it... And it shouldn't exactly be about that.

On the other hand, people have been posting the ones they receive and give to their newsfeed and I think that's an neat place for the liking and commenting to happen -- without it being "attached" to the badge/award itself and without it being as important as the badge/award.
