It would be really nice to get notifications when someone becomes your fan or adds you as their favourite author. It will help to immediately know and also gives a chance to visit their portfolio and check out their writings as well.
Or I can still occasionally keep checking out fan pages and see if there has been a anyone new to like my boring work.
