I've been feeling it, too... novels are such huge projects. It's so hard to get everything organized in your brain. Do you have a good organization system? Where are you keeping your assignments? Have you looked into Scrivener? A lot of people love it, and I've downloaded it and checked it out, and it's pretty awesome. I use WDC, so that all my notes are in the same place. Some people keep everything in one notebook or a three-ring binder.
If your problem is finding time or motivation, here's an idea: try working on it when you're half asleep, when your brain isn't awake enough to tell you that you don't want to do this. Set your alarm for 15 minutes earlier in the morning. Have a notebook or computer ready to go with a blank sheet of paper (or word processor) loaded, with tomorrow's assignment written across the top.
Now, tomorrow, when you wake up, all you have to do is pick it up and start writing, before you can think too hard about it.
