Things I got done (so far): -Polished query letter -Polished synopsis -Crafted and completed cover letter -Crafted and completed cover letter to editor -Started author bio -Started chapter-by-chapter outline -Completed the epigraphs for each part of the novel--all five, including an epigraph each for the prologue and epilogue. -The painstaking formatting of all of these documents, including the novel itself (inasmuch as I'm able to at this time, what with editing concerns) Much thanks to "Formatting & Submitting Your Manuscript" by Chuck Sambuchino and the editors of Writer's Digest Books. Couldn't have done it correctly without that book. For serious. One of the best investments I have ever made. Still haven't added anything to the sequel to "Dyre," nor have I gone over the novel itself again for more editing and fixin'. But one of those, probably the latter, is gonna get done today once I stop feeling queasy and headache-y. And I'll probably work on the outline and bio some more. Hands down the least fun thing I've ever had to do in regards to this novel is that damned outline. But I should have one prepared, just in case. ::sigh:: In any event, it's that much closer to being ready for a literary agent. huzzah! Elated, Ethan |
