I remember the first day I saw Lee. He was staring at the beach silently. A boat of navy stripes was tied at near. I thought it was his and had a perfect rear. The sun at this time was, really, scorching hot. Nothing’s wrong to approach him, what have I got? Such puzzling, squirming and blind-less questions were in. I needed a friend, someone to talk, keep forever and to lean. There was peace, pure happiness and true honesty in his face. While I walk toward, he bid me, “Who is this lady with grace?” I answered, added a smile with the sweetest voice, “So, where does one go?” What I wist was a start of a good thing, will grow. More, he said, “My you’re a damsel of sight!” HereI laughed crazy loud, answered, “Such a nice way to start right!” Stories when strangers with different journey cross path, chances and boldness on the mystery of life were shared until dawn means aught. Lee held my hands with feeling and told me, “The purpose of living is not for a miserable person. We are, always, driven by something planned before being born. God knows, He is our Maker and our birth was not an accident. The two of us are here, because of a point far greater than our wildest dreams, ambition and happiness, not of obsession at this moment.” It was words so nice to hear. Such compassion for a stranger as him. Rhetorically, I agreed, “Maybe this time it will be different, putting our trust in God and keeping self-purposes for firm. Today, this night, I feel I’m beginning to live. Infinitely, beyond our prayers, desires, thoughts or hopes, fate has struck us by a sudden love.” Now, on our wedding day, we stood motionless. Waving any aimless distraction, in quiet desperation, we are not careless. Hearts beating, it is the beginning of our body and our time on earth, all else things seem worthless. Lee and I were made to last forever. I have live in the light of eternity, looking in his soulful eyes. |
