Been waiting until I had enough time and money, bu finally saw The Hobbit today. In Imax 3D.
Which was well, well worth it. It was awesome seeing it that way, which surprised me. It wasn't gimicky like some 3D movies have been that I've seen. I'm still impressed by, to me, all the details and things that Peter JAckson keeps so that it's not a cruddy rendition of the book, but stays rather close to it.
I can't wait until the rest of it. Especially Smaug. (esp since he's voiced by Benedict Cumberbatch) The only "sad" thing I noticed was that several of my fellow watchers were like "Where's the rest of it? Is that it?" I guess they didn't realize it's part 1 because the title doesn't say Part 1. heh.
