Imagine

I wonder if I’ll ever see
A sports team made of centipedes
Now that would be a sight indeed;
Just think of all the shoes they’d need!
A thousand sneakers on the court –
Or double for a different sport.
Imagine “tripping” as a call,
Or what they’d use to move the ball.
I just can’t help myself but laugh,
To think about the second half.
You know they’d have to slow things down
Each time they’d want to turn around.
The best is when the end arrives,
We’d get to see them give high-fives!
