My thin arms wrapped around my body as the bitter wind tore through my long hair and bit at the exposed skin on my face and hands. The glacier's tip jutted out of the frigid waters ahead of us, it's icy surface emitting a light blue glow. The water lapped up the side of the boat and sprayed across my face.
Marcus threw a wool blanket over my shoulders, kissing my raw cheek and rubbing my back. "Darling, maybe you should go inside?" he suggested, tossing his arm over me.
"It's got to be here." I replied. My eyes scanned the smooth surface of the iceberg. I shrugged out from under his arm.
He gave me a sympathetic look. "I know how you feel. But why don't you go on in? It's freezing out...Look at that!" His voice instantly changed to surprise and wonder.
I followed his gaze. The dark water around one end of the glacier was churning and spurting upward like a large geyser. I felt my lips turning upward into a large grin and I turned to look at Marcus. His expression mirrored mine.
