I'll admit I have yet to attempt writing Steampunk. I plan to, but right now I'm just reading a lot of the stuff all of you write and just trying to get a general gist. That's why I've been so quiet. Also, I'm in the planning stages of a Speculative Fiction Workshop with AliceNgoreland and Steampunk is one of the genres Alice wanted to cover. I can't teach it if I have no idea what it is.
I also chose Steampunk because I wanted to try something new and I met CeruleanSon through The Talent Pond. He mentioned this group and I thought it would be fun to learn something new. I've attempted straight science fiction before and the result was, um, shall we say poor? I'm very interested in blending it with fantasy because that's where my comfort level is. We'll see if/when I come up with something, but in the meantime, I'm enjoying the conversation
