My dear colleagues . . .
In an effort to explain myself as it were, I would first like to truly apologize to you. When I first contacted Beck Firing back up! Author Icon, I was assured of her complete discretion in this matter. I was contacted about 3 weeks ago by a representative of the Crown. I was immediately sent away to the colonies to a place called Kansas where I was tasked with disposing of a certain threat to the world as we know it. It seems a young girl there in Liberal Kansas, one Dorothy Gale had happened through a rift between realities. She had there encountered an evil being, a "witch," if you will. Fortunately she was aided by a curious trio comprised of a tin man, a scarecrow, and a lion. Her story was suspect to say the least. I determined, however, that this witch was enough of a threat that she would need to be dispatched immediately. It was my intention to entice her with a shiny object (as such objects have been known to attract beings of lower intelligence). As it turns out, Miss Gale was able to dispatch this witch without my assistance, merely by dousing her with water. The witch almost immediately melted and was thus no longer a threat.

Actually I should have surmised that Miss Gale was indeed a resourceful lady as she had already dispatched this same witch's wicked sister by dropping a house on her of all things. Truly remarkable. Surely, I would never believe such a tale myself; but this was the circumstance I found myself in.

Yesterday, when inspecting certain piping in the Boiler Rooom it happend that i noticed the device was no longer on my wrist. It actually keeps excellent time. I was considering keeping it despite its many functions. Nevertheless, one never knows when one may need such a device.

Warmest Regards, Your Humble Servant
