Outside URL Homebase

Hello. I am new here and have been wanting to get back into some freelance writing after about 8 years Does anyone have experience with the online freelance article writing site called examiner.com? I have read some pretty negative reviews from writers who say they can hardly make a dime. But then again, I see so many writers still writing for them who have expertise in their fields and a lot of past experience writing. Someone must be happy with it! They just offered me a spot to write for one of their "magazines" and I am not sure what to do. For what it's worth, I am aware that payment comes depending on how many "clicks" you have from readers. Anyone with experience at this? I would really appreciate your reactions! I need to let them know in the next two days. Thank you!
