I have yet to see it, but I hear it has a strong allegorical element (which is somewhat common in memorable sci-fi). Thus, I'll go into it with as much of an open mind as possible. In other words, time to do a brain dump!

I also remember this awful TV miniseries called Superstorm. It aired on the Discovery Channel a couple years ago, and it showed just how quickly Tom Sizemore's career tanked it. You can bet this movie did get the MST3K treatment from a friend of mine and myself. It was a terrible waste of celluoid. Here's a link for the brave.
